On the wide factory spread it overhangs the bars by only about 43.5 in in total, so it is easy to set forward of the liftgate's path. The costs are weight and height. The 35.5 in factory spread sits well inside its range, and etrailer says it fits round, square, aero, elliptical and most factory bars, though you should check the clamp against Tesla's T-slot profile. Its 35.5 in maximum matches the owner-measured factory spread almost exactly, so measure your bars center to center; if they come out even slightly wider, this box isn't the right fit. The second is weight. At 57 lb it leaves about 108 lb of Tesla's 165 lb before bars, the least of any box here. Customer reviews on Yakima's page mention fitment trouble on some factory crossbars, so confirm the clamp suits Tesla's bars before you order.

At 75.6 in it overhangs the factory bars by about 40 in, so it can sit forward of the liftgate. Two things need checking. It mounts with a U-bolt kit that SportRack says suits square, round and factory bars, so confirm it clamps securely around Tesla's aero T-slot profile. SportRack also doesn't publish a crossbar spread or warranty terms, so confirm both on the listing.
